Recently, the search engine giant came under fire due to the incident caused by an internet marketer who implements negative practices onto it’s clients and customers and that he benefits from the negative comments posted by the clients on his website. What made Google to be under fire in this incident is that even though the marketer or the culprit in this matter was already getting negative feedbacks his website is still gaining higher ranking through the links that are being provided by those who commented on his page. It was then found out that Google had a flaw on their search engine algorithm and that they recognize a link as plainly a link and not ascertaining whether such emanated from a good or a bad source. This problem was given a solution by Google after three days. Foreseeing such events and to prevent other untoward incidents that may happen, Google news has strengthened its criteria and standards with regards to the different news that would be posted to Google News Subscribers.

It has been recently confirmed by Google Officials that they have removed several posted news on sites from their database because of the fact that these news have been found to be wanting in the different criteria or elements that were set by Google. Google news now in their recent announcement that they would focus a lot more on the quality of content that are being submitted to Google news when discerning which submitted news post would deserve to be included in Google news. For Google news the highest quality must be maintained and posts must always conform to the highest standard of the Webmaster Guidelines. According to Google News the article or post that has the highest quality or that which emphasises on quality content would most likely gain traffic through Google News.
