Those in the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) business will be more than familiar with SEMrush as an SEO tool. However, SEMrush have recently launched a new tool called GEO, working alongside Google AdWords to focus specifically on the geographical element of SEO- where to find potential customers for your SEO business. The new software will benefit SEO businesses that are looking to pad out their client list.
How To Use GEO?
- Simply imput a location/postcode and search radius (you can also search via industry type) and SEMrush GEO will provide results of a company’s website, address and telephone number. You will also be able to find out relevant AdWords information (traffic price, traffic price average) particular to that business. GEO also produces a brief graph of AdWords traffic price spanning the last four years.
- Once your search terms have been entered, GEO will then provide a brief randomised selection of results as well as telling you how many AdWords advertisers are located in the region you searched (based on the postcode and radius given).
- Users can then click on the numerical values for the traffic prices of each company to be taken to the SEMrush Ads keywords report (only SEMrush pro users will be able to view the whole report) .
NOTE: You will not be allowed to view all of the results instantly but if you click ‘Order This Data’ you can apply for it by filling out a quick form (name, email, contact number and reason for request).
SEMrush GEO will help SEO companies expand their customer base as well as their reputation in the search engine optimisation business- this will not happen overnight of course but establishing your SEO business in the local area first should lead to greater awareness of your brand further afield.
